Hi, I’m Dr. Vashi!

Dr. Shailendrasinh Vashi is a dedicated and gifted Orthodontist who believes in offering the most compassionate patient care utilizing the highest quality, most effective, and up-to-date orthodontic skills. With a respected private practice and more than a decade of clinical experience in the field of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, Dr. Vashi has treated hundreds of patients, offering services ranging from basic dentistry to the treatment of highly complex cases of facial and skeletal deformities. His work has been presented at multiple National and International conferences, and he has been invited speaker for international orthodontics courses.

Born and raised in a western coastal town in India, he has learned from world-renowned orthodontic faculties and has practiced in India, the U.S., and around the globe. He first graduated from a 5-year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program and 3-year Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) program in Orthodontistry from India’s most prestigious dental schools. He then decided to work in private practiice for six years in his hometown while also becoming a part-time faculty member at the university, serving over two and a half years. In addition, he was a consultant orthodontist and TMJ specialist for various dental offices and hospitals throughout the state.

With his unwavering devotion to offering the best, most compassionate care, Dr. Vashi has continually updated his skills. In 2017, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue Advanced Clinical Training in Orthodontics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), followed by 3 years of Orthodontic residency training at UCLA. While studying at UCLA, he treated hundreds of patients, including many complex cases of facial and skeletal deformities.

Dr.Vashi has also completed two years of the “FACE – Orthodontics and Functional Occlusion Program” in Romania, and he has traveled for two years from India to Romania to learn the concept of Gnathologically-oriented Orthodontics training.

Dr. Vashi believes in treating every patient as he would his own family member. Always ready to go above and beyond to provide the best possible patient care, he truly believes that his patients deserve nothing but the best. His treatment philosophy is to keep the treatment short, simple, and minimally invasive while giving complete autonomy to his patients for informed decision-making. In addition, his calming personality helps patients ease any fear and hold great confidence in him.

He truly believes in “Love everyone and serve everyone” with great compassion and respect. He loves hearing his younger patients’ great stories and experiences and always inspires them to be the best in life.

Dr. Vashi is a member of various orthodontic societies and study clubs, including the American Orthodontics Association, World Federation of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Orthodontic Society, Indian Orthodontic Society, and UCLA Alumni Study Club, to name a few.

When not in the office, Dr. Vashi Loves to spend time with his wife and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys Yoga, meditation, singing, and traveling.
